Quick Full body workout for the gym! ✨

My first workout back in the gym in honestly months!

I've just been doing bodyweight shit, yoga and running!

Light weights, but feels good to be back! I couldn't give a shit how much weight I can lift. I just like to feel good and enjoy my workouts. 🥰✨

8-12 reps/ 3-4 sets
A1:Pistol squats or Step Ups
A2: LPD
A3: Handstand Hold

B1: RDL
B2: Chest Press
B3: Hanging or Lying Leg raises

I used to get really bad PMDD. It felt like I was

I used to get really bad PMDD. It felt like I was walking around with a cloud around my head for a week, maybe 10 days. I didn't want to talk to anyone, working was a struggle.

I've been tracking my cycle, reading a lot, around PMDD and doing ALOT of inner work, and although I may get a bad dose now and then, for the most part, I am so in tune with my body that I welcome the time to slow down.

The inner critic comes out in the inner autumn. And that can be hard. Especially when what she is saying is true. I am a serial procrastinator, and if I have had an unproductive cycle, my inner critic will make me pay for it.

It is important to be discerning when the inner critic comes out. Sometimes she will have important things to say that you need to listen to, even if they are things you don't want to hear.

But often you might find yourself comparing yourself to others, or overthinking, creating scenarios from fear. It is important to notice these patterns and create new ones.

Something that has helped me is to create a mantra. It might sound silly but it works. Every time you notice yourself thinking a negative thought that has no merit, replace it with something like, I am whole, I am love, or anything that resonates with you. Over time, the negative thought will become a trigger for the positive thought.

But, if you feel like shit, allow yourself to cry and be sad... I've even had a tantrum or 30... 🫣
And you will start to feel better. Maybe the outbursts, like mine will become less and less.

At the end of the day, it's about listening to what your body and your inner voice are trying to tell you. Showing yourself love and compassion. Sometimes that might be crying under a duvet. Other times it might be getting your ass in gear and starting that project you've been putting off.

A lot of the time PMDD is caused by a hormonal imbalance which can be triggered by stress. Even 5 minutes of breath work/ meditation a day can help to re-wire your brain & lower levels of stress.

I'm going to be running an introduction to meditation course starting in January.

Getting back from Spain, then straight to the retr

Getting back from Spain, then straight to the retreat, straight back into teaching, nights out on the weekend... I have been exhausted the past two weeks and my creative juices just were not flowing.

I knew I needed time to decompress so I allowed myself to rest. Not putting any pressure on myself was a huge win in itself. I never give myself time to chill out without feeling guilty.

Now that I feel rested, my inner voice is coming through. I can't seem to scribble my ideas down fast enough- it feels as if I am downloading nudges from the universe.

What often happens, when I get so many ideas that I feel passionate about coming to me all at once, I freeze.

Where do I start?

Which idea do I pursue first?

In the past I have looked at the end goal wondering how the hell will I get there.

But not anymore.

First, I listen to the whispers of the universe, and feel into my heart. Breathe.

Which idea excites me most?

Which plan needs to be put into action now?

What can wait?

What small step can I take today to get me closer to my goal?

Small, actionable steps.

If I find myself getting overwhelmed, I do a bit of yoga, have a solo dance party, go for a run, or meditate, and when I go back to my work, everything seems clear again.

I'm so excited for what's next!
